Many thanks.

Tell me - on the 1891 census does it give ages or dates of birth?

Thanks

Oh dear oh dear!

He was born in 1880 in Portsea - as you say he'd have been rather old fathering children in the 1920's.

Sorry and thanks for your advice.

Hello

Has anyone access to the 1891 census please?  I'm trying to locate Edward GRANT born 1800 in Portsea and probably living with his parents William and Jane in Cumberland Street Portsea.

Thank you.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight / Re: Over family of Headley, Hampshire
« on: Wednesday 06 July 05 05:32 BST (UK)  »
Hello

We have Lucy OVER marrying Stephen ABURROW in Buriton in 1814.

Buriton records - 3-8 12 Aug 1814
 Stephen ABURROW of this Parish
  Lucy OVER of this Parish
Bns William Baker - Frances Over

She would have been born around 1788.  Her 1841 census entry shows her born outside the county - but Headley is on the border so that doesn't signify - and the 1851 birthplace is apparently illegible.  She then died in 1859 so isn't on the 1861 census.  I think the presence of a Frances Over as a witness may be of interest to you.

That's all the information I've managed to discover to date.  Please keep me posted if you find any more.

Best wishes
