Hello

I've found Norman AMBLER's birth in the FreeBMD with mother's name shown as SLYNN.  I cannot find a marriage though between an AMBLER and a SLYNN - can anyone else?  The birth details are - AMBLER NORMAN mother's name - SLYNN LEEDS 9b 528 in the March quarter of 1912.

Thanks for that - it cuts down the numbers for me.  Have you access to the 1891 census to see if George is in Monks Fryston please.  I think Sarah was STEEL before she married - if you have the 1891 please see if she is there as well.

I have Mary HALL on the 1851 as widow, 62 Dragon Street Petersfield age 70.

Is she on the 1841 please with her husband William born 1774 in Harting Sussex and died 1850.

My mother, Edith Aldred, was born (1926)  and lived in Weston.  I haven't come across any Pannell's in our tree though.  My father Ronald Pollard was raised in East Meon.

My father's aunt and uncle lived in East Meon and worshipped at the Mission Hall in Stroud.  Does anyone know which denomination or sect used the hall there before the Second World War please?

Yes please - if you are able to find any sign of a marriage between John and Hannah - around 1824 when their son John was born I think would be a good starting point.
Here is what we have so far about that birth.

John son of John and Hannah SOUTHGATE of Kirby le Soken labourer
