I am looking for the death registration of Charles HAMMOND in 1850. All of my Hammond BM&D's except this one have been found and registered in Cainham (Caynham), which was a sub-district of Ludlow. And all registrations were performed by Richard Bate, the maternal grandfather of Charles Hammond who was Registrar at Cainham for many years.
I feel certain that this death would also have been registered, but the documentation either did not reach Ludlow or if it did, "fell through the cracks" and was not processed.
My question is: As Caynham no longer exists as a registration office, where is the other registration copy now held? (One copy should have been held in Ludlow and the other retained by the Registrar at Cainham).
All help greatly appreciated as I am 'down under' in New Zealand.
Minniehaha.
