Oh my gosh I have searched and searched and never found a death so hoped he would be alive.  Thank you for this.  wherever did you find it?

Family History Beginners Board / Frederick James Palmer

Hello everyone,
I am Jayne from Pembrokeshire in West Wales and I am currently researching my family tree.  Here's what I know so far.
My paternal Grandfathers name was Frederick James Palmer and he was born 31 May 1918.  He was born in Whitby and I believe he had a sister Gladys and that his parents were Jane Elizabeth Locker and William Palmer.
He married my Grandma Blodwen Hooper on 13 January 1941 when he was 23 and she was 16 years old.  They married at St Kathrines church in Milford Haven.
After having my dad David and a younger sister Jeanette he 'disappeared' and my Father  never knew him.  however unravelling bits of information from the family I feel that there was more to this than meets the eye and maybe he wasn't allowed to see his children as he did contact Dad when Dad left school via letter but Dad wasn't allowed to read it.
I now know he was based at HMS Rooke in 1941 and in 1937 he was on SS Kildare.  That's about all I know really.  I'm confused as to what a Dis A No. is on his CR2 card, also why is the top right hand corner missing.  confused!!

Any help greatly appreciated.

Jayne
