London and Middlesex / confusing info, Manley London

Hi,
I'm new to RootsChat today so please forgive me if i have posted this in the wrong place.
I am looking at my Great Great Grandfather.
His name is John Manley and is on the 1871 census with the following information.
2 Chilton Street, Bethnal Green
John Manley Head age 25 Hairdresser born Middlesex London living Bethnal Green
Fanny Manley Wife age 24 born london Middlesex, living Bethnal Green
John Manley Son 1 born London, Middlesex, Bethnal Green London
Fanny Manley Dau 3, born london, Middlesex, Bethnal Green London
George Squiresx 17 apprentice born London Middlesex, living Bethnal Green London
RG10/496 Bethnal Green Folio39, Page 31

I have found a newspaper article regarding an incident naming Fanny Manley waiting outside her husbands hairdressing shop in Whitlechapel but the dates do not add up, is there anyway to find out about the shop, its too much of a coincidence but mabe its a common name, if anyone can let me know where to look etc that would be great.
