You are indeed an aristocrat.  This entirely figures with the other info I have, so thanks for that.

PS How do you upload your picture?

Nottinghamshire Lookup Requests / Ruddington Parish registers - Woodward
« on: Sunday 12 June 05 14:48 BST (UK)  »
I would be grateful for any help on locating the marriage of William and Rebecca Woodward - in Ruddington early 1830s.

By way of background, William and Rebecca had a son Benjamin baptised 21 December 1839 at Ruddington, Notts (and who was buried in Ruddington 5 Jan 1840).  I believe they had two elder Children, both shown in the census as born in Ruddington - Phebe (Born About 1832), and Sarah Ann (Born about 1833).  Their parents were William Woodward (Tailor, Born about 1812 Kinoulton), and Rebecca (surname unknown, born about 1814 Ruddington).  Phebe's birthplace is confirmed as Ruddington on in the 1861 and 1871 censuses (following her marriage to my great great grandfather, John Baker, in Nottingham in 1853)

They may have moved to Yorkshire in 1840 (as the next child is shown on the 1861 census is transcribed as being born in "Warsbrow", Yorkshire) but moved to Nottingham by 1844, where there next 6 children were born.

Grateful for any further information.

I am seeking information on Frederick Langridge, born about 1835 in Wrotham, Kent.

NB: The 1871 census implied he was born in 1838, but 1881 and 1901 censuses impled 1835, and 1891 census implied 1836.  Death certificate suggested he was born in 1846, but he outlived his wife, so this could be discounted.  The census consistently described him as a Labourer, and as born in Wrotham (or similar, mis-spelt)

By way of background.  He married an Amy Agnes (unknown) b 1838 in Croydon, Surrey. They would have got married about 1855-1860 (if the did get married, that is), and they had a daughter Ann b approx 1861 in Croydon (for whom I can find no birth certificate with Fred and Amy as parents). I believe Fred and Amy are my great great grandparents; they lived in Croydon from before 1871, until their respective deaths in 1907 and 1905 respectively. They were buried in Mitcham Road Cemetery, Croydon. I have so far not been able to find any links to parents or brothers and sisters for Frederick. Any information gratefully received

Suffolk Completed Lookup Requests / Robert ROSE, Laxfield
« on: Tuesday 07 June 05 23:07 BST (UK)  »
I would welcome any information relating to Robert Rose, born about 1784 in Laxfield Suffolk.

By 1811 he was in Great Chesterford, Essex, where he married an Amy Mason (from Great Chesterford) on 27 Sep 1811.  They had about nine children in Great Chesterford.  Robert died in Great Chesterford in 1869

Robert was variously described as an agricultural labourer, labourer, and retired groom on the census, and in parish records in Great Chesterford.

Unfortunately I can't locate any Laxfield data on IGI.

Any help/pointers gratefully received.

Wiltshire / Brice of Collingbourne Ducis
« on: Tuesday 07 June 05 23:00 BST (UK)  »
I would welcome any further information relating to Brice, Collingbourne Ducis.  Specifically:

George Brice b Abt 1803 Collingbourne Ducis.  He married a Mary (unknown), possibly from Newtowny ?, Wiltshire, born 1808.  They had at least three children in Collingbourne Ducis

- Mary Ann, Baptised 30 Sep 1832 Collingbourne Ducis;
- Sarah, Baptised 1 Feb 1835 Collingbourne Ducis;
- Martha Mina, Baptised 19 May 1938 Collingbourne Ducis

.. prior to moving to Croydon, Surrey, where they had another child, Thomas b Abt 1844.  Sarah and Martha Mina moved with their parents to Croydon too.

George became a Gardener in Croydon - shown in Croydon Commercial Directory, 1851, and as a Market Garden labourer in the 1861 census.  Wife Mary was shown as a laundress in 1861 census.

Any help gratefully received.
