Northumberland / Hogg, Mary (1838)

I am looking for more information on Marry Hogg’s family (my great great Grandmother).

She married Samuel Kernes (1827 - 1885) in Durham in 1860. Their son Samuel is my great Grandfather (1872 - 1941).

I last see the family in 1881 census living in Wallsend.

Perthshire / Graham, Henry (1889)

I am looking for my Grandfather’s brother Henry. Henry was born in Avoch in 1889 (his mother Harriet McLean (1849-1889) died in childbirth).

I can still find the family in 1901 census living in Blair Atholl, Perthshire with their father(Donald 1837).

My Grandfather (Alexander 1887) came to South Africa sometime before WW1 - and survived Delville Wool. He married after the war and had 3 sons and a daughter.

I can find no evidence of Henry after 1901 census - I chased down a couple of red herrings - I am hoping someone can assist me.

Thanks Norma, yes I realized this too. I am starting to think that Donald was possibly married before, and Margaret is his child, not Catherine's. No luck yet tho, will keep at it.

...or when Donald died.  I have him in same residence as recorded in 1911 census in at least 1917, but nothing further.

Yes they were. No idea where they were in 1861...

Thanks! I have both the marriage certificates now as well as Catherine's death certificate. I am please to report that Donald did have both parents!  I am now able to use this to confirm the links that I already had to his parentage.

Yes it is thanks.  This record assisted with Catherine's maiden name!
