Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Re: Help please with deciphering a name

Reading  all the replies again & we now think as you have said there are two Nellie's. "She's as tall as Nellie Arnold" This could be it as there were an Arnold family in Manchester in our family history & we think the other Nellie is Nellie Knights a cousin. Wow, thank you all again

Thank you so much for all your replies, very helpful. Lots to look into now.Lottie was my husbands Grandmother. The photo on the other side was kindly dated on rootschat around 1918/1920 ish. Unfortunately we don't know of a John in the family. She sent it to her brother Fred in Manchester. She was obviously in Yarmouth we presume to visit relatives as Lottie's Father came from Kessingland Suffolk. We are trying to find out who the tall girl is. The other girl in the middle we think is Lottie's sister Ethel. Photo attatched

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Help please with deciphering a name

Could anybody please help with deciphering the name on the lower right side of the postcard. I can make out the rest of the writing except the name.
"Dear Fred how do you like this photo we had them taken on Wed on the beach at Yarmouth. The other girl is Nellie she is so tall. ( it then looks like its Nellie .......... ) Best love Lottie."
I'm trying to find out the name to see who the girl was but can't make out the surname. Could it be Arnold?
Many Thanks

Hello, Could anyone please date the two attatched photo's for me. The first one is of my husbands Grandmother on Yarmouth beach. (It states this on the back of the photo). She actually lived in Manchester & was probably  there to see her cousins as her Father came from Kessingland Suffolk. She is on the left of the photo.
The other photo was sent to her & on the back, it says from your cousin Florence Ethel to cousin Lottie. We think this also came from Suffolk.
Many Thanks

Thank you, I have looked at both families where the Mother has died but the ages of the children don't add up. It's a mystery!
