Usually say Family History instead, but when pushed 'genie-ology' and always scon.....if you say sco-ne in the north east you get the mickey taken for 'talking posh'  ;D ;D

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Re: watch maker, match maker or what maker

Hi,
I'd say watchmaker, the W's at the start of Watch and Wife seem to match as do the M's at the start of Maker and Margaret.

Hello Xin,

Yes I feel that way too but decided to just 'go for it', so I went in using facts I was certain of and after a bit of fumbling around got some information I could confirm on the free preview through the address facility, then went on to search out other facts with some results.
I haven't bought credits yet but I'm making a list of names/addresses to research when I do buy them.
I have read some of the posts on here and they have been very helpful, so go on give it a try, you have nothing to lose and lot to gain.

Good luck
Patty  :)

How wonderful Shez, your husbands grandparents must have met him if he signed their book, and what a nice thought of yours to share it, I'm delighted to add the information to my tree and I hope Sheila gets in touch with you soon.
Sorry don't know how to scan the autograph, I'm not very good with computers, however there are some very kind, helpful people on roots chat and I'm sure they would know.
Many thanks
Patty  :)
