Tipperary / Re: Ryan-Guidera Roscrea

Hi again Tara,
I bought that marriage cert on rootsireland and no parents mentioned - perhaps they were already deceased!! anyway, it's true that one of the older boys should have his first-name.(Timothy/Patrick/Michael)  As for the other "searcher" of this family, I've contacted her and she recently discovered that she had been misled - Ryan, yes; Guidera, no!!!   It's amazing - I've been doing research on genealogy websites for about 3 years and have yet to meet someone else searching for my family!!!
Thanks for all your help, Tara.

Hi Tara,
thanks for that - I actually have accessed the 1901 and 1911 census forms showing my great-grandfather, Joseph, his wife and family and his dad, Timothy. I have all of Joseph's descendants as his son, James, was my grandfather.  I know that at least 3 of Timothy and Honora's children died young of T.B. - James, Thomas and Jeremiah.  I found a Grace Ryan also married to a Patrick Burke (also from Tipperary and they had a son, Walter) in Cook County, Chicago - no trace of marriage certificate but I wonder if she was one of the siblings...
I live in France but plan on going to Roscrea soon and have just sent an email to Saint Cronan's Church in Roscrea asking for info if they have it.
Thanks again for swift reply,
Deirdre

Hi Tara, I have found no trace of the siblings apart from Patrick who emigrated to Chicago a d married Catherine Whelan from Roscrea.  I was told they had 2 children (one became a doctor...)  As for all the other siblings born in Roscrea between 1856 and 1872, no trace at all.  I would love to find out where they ended up.  One other sibling, my great grand-father, Joseph, stayed in Roscrea and married Mary Breen in 1897.  Thanks if you can help me.
