He dies in Madras 1851. I wondered if anyone had access to find my past and the records there. Is there anything on there for him? He was born 1796 in India

Thank you

I thought that. it would make sense, because they all seem quite happy to move about. However I can find no record elsewhere either and blockmaker to dr seems to lucky. I have looked at ancestry worldwide and found nothing. Or a death certificate. Also I can't find George and Susannah before 1851. They don't seem to appear on the 1841 census.

Sorry should have said, George Davidson (who is also a blockmaker) and Susanna Davidson. Also might be useful, the rest of the family joined the navy or married into the navy. Big surprise in Devonport ;D

I have him on the census, aged 21 born and living with his family in 1851 in Devonport. But then he disappears never to be seen again. I have a possible in 1891, from Dawlish as a Doctor living in London. My instinct says it's not the right one but I have no other. I also can't find a birth certificate/marriage certificate or any other record of him at all. It doesn't seem possible to me that a blockmaker could become a doctor, is it? Can anyone find where he is hiding as I am now stuck.

I've had a look at this website, does someone have the index and could look up the name Money. the two or three ladies were probably based in Manchester and became nuns about 1920 at the earliest.

Thank you in advance

Is there anyone with access to military records. I think Rolfe may have been a military man, 1st Madras in particular
