Not Nocton, but it is Nocton Heath. Boundary cafe on the A15 is Nocton Heath.

That farmhouse has been deserted for about 40 years. It's on the A15 between Green Man Farm and Boundary Cafe.

Many years ago, someone I know enquired about buying it but the owner wasn't willing to sell.

Have you got a link for the photo?

Hi, yes very well thanks and I've managed to fill many gaps in my Pocklington line.

I've actually been in touch with the current proprietor of The bakery Chris Pocklington too.

Thanks for that link. I believe an ancestor Joe Green Willoughby once lived in the cottage.

I'm wondering if anyone can pinpoint exactly where this stood?

I was led to believe that it was opposite Calceby manor, however I'm having trouble finding any evidence to back this up!

Thanks for the reply. There's hundreds I'd Staintons in the county so it's a fair guess that this may take some time to solve.

I was told by a relation that he is related, but it can't find the connection.

Every other Stainton that I've been suggested has been found to be related. This being the Lincolnshire Staintons.

This particular one is buried in Alford as are some of my Stainton relations.

I'm not sure that he did. He's related to me, but I'm yet to find the common ancestor.

His parents were David 1890 and Emily Metcalf 1897.

His grave has a Lincolnshire Regiment headstone.
