Hi Folks

I bet I am being incredibly thick here but how do I get notification of all my messages.   I get some but not all and I have gone back to the sections where I have left info and questions and have found replies but no notification.

Please help...

Result, I have found the Widder connection.  My 6th time great grandmother Albertina Magdalena (maiden name unknown) married Johann Phillip Widder married about 1728..  He had a son John Widder born abt 1729 in Mannheim Germany.  My 6th time great grandfather is her other husband, Philip Lorenz Schmaltz b 1693 in Mannheim.   He and Albertina married in 1737 and he died in 1771.   Marie, daughter of Albertina and Phillip, for some reason named my 3 x Gt Grandmother Julia Widder Mills.  It seemed that this connection carried on over to Norwich Norfolk as John Widder is buried there.

So now this has been completed but there are so many questions to ask which will probably pop up under different sections.

Thank you everyone for your help.

Hi Trish, once again thank you for your advice.   My 4 x Gt Grandmother  Marie Julienne Phillipine(Julia' mother) was an Andre.   I mentioned her in the Andre same name in my other message to you My 5 x Gt Grandfather was Johanne Andre, a Huguenot living in Offenbach Germany (pic attached) he was a composer and Kappelmeister to the Prince of Prussia (not sure which one at the mo).

I am seriously wondering whether the Andres and Widders were friends in Germany.   Oh well, next step research and a post on the Europe section.

John, thank you so much for your tip

Hi Trish and thank you for your research.   Yes Julia is my  4 x Gt Grandmother and married my 4 x Gt Grandfather Ebenezer.   She was born in Offenbach, Germany.  You may have hit the nail on the head with his parents.  Ebenezer was born about 1761 in St Faith Norfolk.

Thank you for your advice, I will be acting on it.

Thank you all so much for your help.   Jacquie, I believe you have hit the nail on the head with Alice.   I will see what I can find out about Anne Simson.   A lot of info from you all to work on.

Leicestershire / Frederick Arthur Sparham

I am looking for Frederick Arthur Sparham born 1909 in Market Bosworth.  He got married in 1926 to Doris R Bailey in Market Bosworth.    The surname Sparham is on my maternal side.   My grandfather was a Sparham and I am wondering whether Fred has anything to do with us.   I would appreciate it if anyone knows the name of his parents, would really help or I will have to purchase a BC lol

Thank you Sparham

I believe that Albert's father was born in Market Bosworth in 1909.  He was Frederick Arthur Sparham.  I need to know his parents and before I purchase a Birth Cert, I would so appreciate any info anyone may have.

Many thanks Sparham
