ShaunJ - I'm currently running with an Ancestry subscription so I can't view the second link (hosted in findmypast). What sort of document are you referencing? Are they also found on Ancestry?

ShaunJ - sorry - you are indeed correct about it being the 1891 data. I had worked backwards from 1901 and pasted the wrong data.

I am exploring a new branch of my Callear family tree and I am struggling to find:
I think I need to learn to be more "abstract" with my searches, so I'm hoping any potential replies will provided useful hints/tips.
What I know:
1. In 1901, William (53), Ann Ellen (42) and William P Callear (13) are living in Snedshill, Priors Lee

2. Early research into William P Callear returns a match in the 1939 census and a possible death in 1955. Logically, he must be somewhere in the 1911 census

My reasons for trying to trace this family is that they have descendants who live locally to me (Stoke-on-Trent area) but I cannot (as yet) connect our two branches of the Callear family tree.
Levi is shown as at least living in the Bilston area; while my branch is from the Telford (Wellington) area.

Thanks after much head scratching, I had literally just worked that out and found them under "Calliari" (in the 1901 Census)

I trying to trace the parents of Harry Callear (b. 15/08/10) & George (b/d ~1914)
What I know:
What I am struggling to find:
I've tried relaxing my search but no luck. I'd be very appreciative if someone with better research skills can help/guide.
What I know:
- Their birth records states the mother's surname as BROOKES
- There is a 1896 marriage between a Levi Callear (aged ~28) &
CatherineCaroline Brookes (aged ~25) - 1939 Census: shows Harry (married to Catherine nee. Kelly) AND living with a widow, Catherine Brookes
What I am struggling to find:
- Mention of Levi and/or Caroline on the census records for 1901 and 1911 - both must be alive as they later have the two boys
- The death of a Levi Callear - I'm assuming this is pre-1939 (hence Caroline a widow but is it odd that she has reverted to her maiden name?)
I've tried relaxing my search but no luck. I'd be very appreciative if someone with better research skills can help/guide.
