Would have been born around 1812 going by her marriage date but I haven't looked for that yet as I was hoping to eliminate a few Donald and Isabella's by their areas.
Macrae D. is possibly a Father or perhaps a brother. will have a look at Scotland's People.
Thanks for the all the help , Kay and Don

Hello Kay

It's the right area just a bit before the timeline I'm looking for but since your info I have found quite a number of the books you mentioned on Archive.net and will have a look through a few of them. The Macrae name is mentioned a few times and what I'm really after is  Isabella's family.

Really appreciate your help.

Duncan and Isabella were married on 28th. January 1834. Duncan from Ardelve and Isabella from Old Glebe. I have found Ardelve but can find nothing about Old Glebe although I have come across the name before while researching.
Can anyone help ?

Thanks for reminding me, Forfarian, I could have been searching all night ! I have some info from FamilySearch and will see what a couple of marriage records from Scotlands people will produce. ;) ;)

Hello Everyone,

Yes, I think it must be Burrellholes and will now get the birth certs as Rena suggested to be completely sure.

In my searching I came across a story for anyone with an interest in the Kilwinning area.
It's a short biography of a Robert Morrison (not my family interest ) and can be found at 'Scottish Corpus of Texts and Speeches Document 1017 - Notes on Kilwinning and Bio of said Robert.

Thanks for all the help. It's really appreciated.

Found the name 'Barrel Holes'  farm in the Kilwinning area while searching Shedden ancestors. It seems a strange name for a farm and wonder if could be an incorrect transcription. Has anybody heard of this name ? It would be around 1800 +-.

Thank you for all the suggestions everyone. I thought she may have been the girlfriend of a great uncle who died in ww1. If she is Edwardian and 20-ish that rules her out. The lace is very lovely and must have taken for ever to make by hand. I used to make hand made lace myself and it took hours to produce a few inches. Very lovely hobby though !   :) :) :) :)
