Ainslie, many thanks for your reply. I'll try for a copy of any existing will. Thanks again.

Tipperary / Re: O'Halloran from Ballyboe Kilsheelan, Co Tipperary

I'm not sure if this helps at all. I'm interested in O'Hallorans from Carrick-on-Suir in the mid 19th century. I know there was a Bernard O'Halloran in Clonmel in 1831, and I think his brother was Edmund. I would like to find out more information about them. Edmund married a Twomey in Carrick in 1831.
Also, there were large O'Halloran families in Killenaule and Fethard at the same time as well. They were connected, if not directly related.
Another difficulty is that the name John appears in every generation and every branch of the family.
Actually, this probably doesn't help you at all.

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Info on Stanley Jackson Solicitor Liverpool 1947
« on: Saturday 03 August 13 09:41 BST (UK)  »
Stanley Jackson, solicitor, practicing in 81 Dale St, Liverpool, was sole executor of a relative's will in 1947. I would like to trace Stanley's office (or current offshoots) to see if they have any record of this transaction. Any guidance appreciated.

Lancashire / Olive Muriel Burns, Falkner St Liverpool
« on: Saturday 03 August 13 09:19 BST (UK)  »
Olive Muriel Burns ran a Boarding House at 35 Falkner St Liverpool in 1947. Born in 1920, she died in 1998. Although in later years she styled herself Mrs, her death was recorded under the name given at Baptism.
A relation of mine died in hospital while boarding with her in 1947.
I would like to trace any of Muriel's family or friends, to see if any records or memories exist of this time.
Many thanks.

Shropshire / Percy Edward Rowson Snailbeach
« on: Tuesday 28 May 13 12:10 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to make contact with the family of Percy Edward Rowson (1903 - 1975) of Snailbeach, Minsterley. He was sole beneficiary and executor of the will of Anne Elizabeth O'Halloran in 1965. She was the widow of Edmund Sylvester, who was my relative. Were they just good neighbours, great friends or more?
Thanks.

Tipperary / Re: 1851 Census O'HALLORAN

Try Clonmel. I know of O'Halloran's in Lurgoe, and in Garraun, both large families, but with no Michael in either. Also O'Halloran's in Carrick on Suir, but again no Michael.
John was a fairly common Christian name in the clan, Michael less so.

Tipperary / Re: O'Halloran or Crooke from Tipperary

I know of at least two large O'Halloran families, one near Fethard (Garraun) and the other near Killenaule. There were also O'Halloran's in Clonmel and in Carrick on Suir.

Shropshire Lookup Requests / Cemetery Records in Salop
« on: Friday 26 April 13 17:12 BST (UK)  »
I'm trying to find out where Edmund Sylvester O'Halloran, who died on 21st November 1947, is buried, and with whom.
His will gave everything to his wife "Elisabeth" living at Sharlbeach Minsterley in the County of Salop.
Grateful for any help.
