I think that it depends on which census. As it  happens, I'm most interested in 1881.

Definitely Brea*h Groave, most likely Breach Groave. See the same letters used elsewhere in the text. :-)

Wales / Please help me hunt this chap in 1881
« on: Saturday 09 May 20 09:43 BST (UK)  »
Hi all, I have a disappearing ancestor and I'm looking for him in 1881.

Thomas Edward Williams
13 Mar 1869 - born in Aberystwyth
1871 - Living in Aberystwyth with his Mam
1891 - Lodging in Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch
1891 - Married in Bangor to Jane Rees

Thomas' Mam was Susannah Griffiths b.1845. His Dad was Edward Williams b.1843, Mariner.
Between 1871 and 1891 Thomas became a Baptist Minister and will have had to train in a Baptist Union college to do so. There are a few colleges about the country but can't seem to find him anywhere.

Hi Everyone!
Are any of you geniuses aware of the best ways to search for a particular ship in the census? I have mariners I'm struggling to keep track of and wonder about tracing their ships instead.

Thanks!
Hywel

Hi all, I'm looking for more info on this fella if you can help me? I have some data on his time in UK but cant find anything about his time abroad...

Albert Edward Batstone
Born in 1915 in Cardiff to James J Batstone and Emily (Roberts).
He married Marjorie N Botherton in Cardiff in 1940.
He disappears.
Marjorie remarried in 1972.

Family lore maintained that he divorced Marjorie and moved to America and South Africa before dying in Germany.
I know no facts about his time outside of the UK, can any of you help?

The Common Room / Lord W Hamilton Family Tree
« on: Wednesday 27 February 19 00:01 GMT (UK)  »
I'm wondering whether there is a verified family tree of Lord W Hamilton already researched anywhere online? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Hamilton_(diplomat)

I am trying to research a potential connection between his children and an Irish family with the name Edgerton.

Where do I look for family trees of the rich and famous of the past?
