I have a lot of fond memories associated with the Brieryshaw
Last time I saw it standing was, I think, some time in 1994. I passed by one day en route to Moffat from Edinburgh via Langholm and Lockerbie - taking the long way round to visit some of my old haunts
It was more than twelve years before I was back on that part of the A7 and was somewhat confused when I realised I had gone past the Ewes kirkyard without passing the Brieryshaw
The two photos that jenimac found are interesting - 2922 shows the approach to the Brieryshaw as you would have seen it driving north from Langholm. The house that I knew was behind the remaining farm buildings that can be seen in this photo.
I can't figure out 1380. Doesn't look like the Brieryshaw and I can't place that picture at all within that part of Ewes.
