Trying to prove the Callison's came from Denmark or nearby the last idea I had was to check the
Nation Archives BT114/4 mariner records. This was the reply.
"Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we have been unable to locate
the requested material within the specified document."
Have been looking for Peter Callison and his son Peter Frederick the last certificate I have is the son's marrage in 1842 at Tynemouth only got the fathers name off that certificate the son's wife remarried in 1857 he may have died between 1855-1857 can't find a death certificate for him.
Always missing from census when I found his family, maybe at sea, found his brother John on 1851 census he said he was born in the Cape of Good Hope South Africa would have been around 1818.
Kind people on Rootchat have looked on Ancestry, NBI, deaths at sea, BVRI for me I have been to the family records center 3 or 4 times, Freebmd, Familysearch, but not found them.
At a loss what to try now, any ideas would much appreciated.
