The Common Room / Do you think it would be cheeky
« on: Wednesday 14 December 05 20:44 GMT (UK)  »
Looking for the Callison's last place we have them is North Shields 1842 .Now up the creek with no
paddles and no canoe . Looked on free search Scotland on line, nothing found  don't know if they were in Scotland, but noticed the chief executive of Scotland online is Dr Richard Callison as there are not many Callison's do you think it would a cheek to email him.

The Common Room / Lost at sea 1855 ish ?
« on: Wednesday 26 October 05 18:05 BST (UK)  »
???
This is just a wild guess, I have a father and son who are
both mariners. The Son has a child born 1855 his wife remarried in 1857. No record of death of father or son if they were lost at sea ( no bodies found ) would there have been a death certificate?

Thanks for your help

The Common Room / Old Photograph I have been given help please
« on: Tuesday 13 September 05 18:56 BST (UK)  »
;D

The Photograph maybe around 1900, but its a guess the only clue is the photographers name
at the bottom which looks like a"H. Robinson  Barking" which is in Essex. I tried google no luck if I can narrow the date down it might help with the identification.

Sorry I have not got a scanner so I can not show you the picture.

Thank you for any suggestions
