Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Alfred TAYLOR (1896-1992) - Loyalsockville ("Slabtown"), Pennsylvania

This is the only photograph my wife has of her grandfather. This is likely taken in the General Store in Loyalsockville (referred to locally as Slabtown)We would appreciate any confirmation of the location and date of the photo - would it be around the 1950s? Also, would be really grateful for any restoration to eliminate scratches and blemishes. Many thanks.

Many thanks to both of you. Your comments have assisted greatly in filling in gaps in my research. I have established two contacts 'on the ground' who are helping me pursue matters further. Amendments to the date and place of birth records on Find A Grave are to be made.

Alfred Taylor was my wife's grandfather. He was born in Thornaby, Yorkshire in 1896.

He married Caroline Jane Lee in Cardiff, Wales in 1918, and in 1929  emigrated on his own to the USA.

On the 1940 Census he is living in Sunbury, Northumberland, PA.
 
On the WW2 1942 Draft Register he is living in Sunbury, Northumberland, PA.

He died 16 Jun 1992 in Montoursville,  Lycoming, PA, and there is a recorded burial in Montoursville cemetery.

I am trying to establish whether he married Blanche Adaline Clees (1913-1983) who is listed in his household in 1940 Census, and if there were any children.
