The Common Room / War Memorial
« on: Monday 27 February 06 16:40 GMT (UK)  »
Hi Campers.

At the weekend i dragged hubby to a small town to look for war memorial ............having parked we started to search for the said memorial! we asked 4 people all mature adults and even went in the Post Office! NOONE could tell us where it was! We did however find it by our own means and have taken photo!.........I was really dumbfounded and upset that not one of them knew! on return home I asked our 20 yearold daughter to tell me where the local war memorials were she could tell me them all!............
What a sad state!

Thanks for your reply and links! think this may prove hard to find William Richards as you say the name is common to Devon, only hope is the witness in the marriage certiificate.........
William died 1828 and is buried in Petrockstow Ann I am yet to find but have had no luck with 1851 census.
