Lancashire / Inquests 1928 - 1930
« on: Saturday 03 August 13 16:16 BST (UK)  »
Can anyone advise whether I will find inquests and/or coroners reports from 1928 - 1930 at the Manchester Archives Office please?

Or  newspaper articles for the same period.

The individual was thought to have died on a tram or in a tram accident around that time.

Many thanks
Scriv

Plus  a Dr. M.C. Cook, M.B. in 1964.  That's all I know, but I wonder if you could enquire at the General Medical Council to at least put you in the right direction?... http://www.gmc-uk.org/about/index.asp

Hi there..... i believe there was a Dr Doubley/Doubbley/Dubbly/Dubberley around in 1953, but haven't a clue where he was based. He served the Hague Estate at that time.

Immigrants & Emigrants - General / Re: Transportation help please ?

Actually if you do read the thread carefully, although it does mention newspspers and records, it doesn't actually give the info I was looking for ie a direct reference in the records that I could check out  which would reliably link this particular James Scriven of Alveley and the James Scriven mentioned in the transportation. At that point I could not find anything in the records and was hoping that someone could have alerted me to the records showing this case and/or newspapers that the article was in.

Anyway, not to worry any more, I have completed this line of enquiry now.
Thank you very much for your help anyway.

Hi Brevitas

Thanks for your reply, but I am looking for confirmation in the records linking this James Scriven of Alveley to the James Scriven transported for stealing the goose.

Thank you anyway.

« on: Friday 02 November 12 12:01 GMT (UK)  »
Please can anyone help find the baptism and parents of Richard Edwards born abt 1805 Snargate according to all census info.

If it's any help, a Thomas Edwards was a witness at Richard's wedding to Mary Ann Fellowes in 1827.

I can't find any Snargate Baptism records at all covering 1800 - 1805 Snargate.

Hi All,

Where in the records does it state that this James Scriven came from Alveley? Am I missing something?
