Am trying to find what happened to daughter Jane Harriet Gander bn 1842 as she is not with her mother in 1851.
There is a Jane Gander with Frederick and Elizabeth Gander in 1851 with a younger brother by 5 years . Wonder if they separated as I cannot find a death for Charles Frederick Gander and he went on to have more children as she did with Enswistle ....
Confusing bunch these are !

I think a daughter Jane Harriet was born in 1842 in Hoxton and I can find a death for Charles Gander 1845 but need to look more in depth. Still cannot find a marriage to Enswistle

Jane Nash married Charles Frederick Gander in 1841 .My guess is Emma belongs to Charles and she married William Entwistle .Then married Bennett using her old married name ?
Now looking for married of Jane Gander to Entwistle

I think Jane Gander is possibly  Jane Entwistle .
Jane died in 1887 in Australia ,they have her birth as 1822 parents Samuel Nash and Harriet. She was listed as a widow on marriage to Bennett Ball. Might be worth investigating further

Looks like she had another daughter Harriet Ann in 1862 and they emigrated to Australia in 1865. I dont have a world wide sub so I cant see other records but there is alot on Bennett.
Wonder if the whole family emigrated?

Have you looked at Jane's lodger on the 1861 census ? He is Bennett Bell or Ball he married a Jane Gander in the september ,her fathers name on cert is Samuel Nash .

Hi my childhood friend Grandad was Orlando Welham and he lived in Washbrook. I know he is buried at Belstead Church as I have visited his grave.
I did look into her tree a few years back and have some info on the Welhams. I am assuming Orlando was your grandfathers brother? I know he had several sons and a daughter and I believe another son who died in an accident
Let me know if you want to look at the tree

Assess the records that you have found for location and occupation.
Occupation and residence typically shows if they travelled.

WE don't know when/where/ what records are "your" family.
You haven't even stated when/where Robert wed, not the names of the witnesses.
Nor where he later resided, together with any other known family members.
Pauline

Sorry for asking as I said the records are sparse
Sometimes I wonder why people have to be so rude and blunt with their replies .I was simply asking if anyone had heard of the name before and if they thought they were travellers . I will enquire on other sites .Thank you

Travelling People / Harridine Gray

Hi
I am doing my friends tree and her gg grandfather is Robert Gray bn 1832 Norfolk ,I have found a marriage for Robert and he lists his father as Harrodine Gray occ Hawker.
They seem to move around East Anglia abit looking at the few records I can find.
I cannot find anything on Harridine and his name is spelt differently on most of the records but have found a Gray married a Harridine in 1750s so am assuming that's where the name come from.
Has anyone heard of him and know if they were travellers ?
