Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Vanishing Shearen
« on: Friday 02 December 05 11:18 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,
Is it possible to do something with this image of my grandfather's uncle John David Shearen born 1847?
My grandfather was named after him and it would be nice if I could compare likenesses.

All efforts appreciated.

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / Death of a 'DUCK' - completed
« on: Wednesday 12 October 05 02:03 BST (UK)  »
Hi,
I would appreciate a death look up.
I've lost a coachman by the name of Charles Duck and his wife Deborah. they married Hanover Square, London 1811.  Their only child was baptised 1813 in West Yorkshire with a note to say absent father was a 'servant in London'.  I've been unable to find them in the 1841 Yorkshire census and I suspect Deborah died early because her grandchild was baptised 1840 with the name of her sister Diana.
Thanks in advance.

Lincolnshire Lookup Requests / 1861 census: Ehlers/Flemme
« on: Wednesday 31 August 05 17:59 BST (UK)  »
Hi,
Looking for musician Conrad Ehlers, possibly spelled Haler.

There's a chance he has some children with him - He brought my 8 year old gt.grandfather Hermann Flemme & 2 other small children to England to busk the streets without their parents.

From family stories I know they were near "The Wash" and busked the streets of London before settling in Hull 1864.
Thanks in advance.

I would appreciate an 1861 Drypool, Hull census lookup for the full household of Ehlers and/or Bielstein. These people arrived when war was brewing on European mainland.  I'm trying to trace the footsteps my g.grandfather Hermann Flemme b abt 1854 and Mina Flemme. I've found him 1871 in 7 Hope St, Drypool census and am trying to trace backwards. He came to England busking streets when a small child.  Any help appreciated.  Thanks in advance.
