Canada / Josephine Whitehead
« on: Friday 21 September 18 19:50 BST (UK)  »
Hello all,  I wonder if anyone can help here?  I am trying as part of a WW1 project to find out about Josephine Whitehead.  Who was an young engineer working in Serbia with the Serbian Relief Fund in 1915.  I think she may have been born around 1893. I would love to know about her and what became of this lady.  Just anything would be fantastic.     I have read some bits and bobs on the net and from a relevant diary. But nothing apart from her war in 1915.

Thank you for reading this

Hello all,

I am trying to confirm a place of death for the above gentleman.  Wikipedia  have him as being born in London but R.B Betts(author) claims he was born on the 20th of August 1879. Both parties agree he died on the Isle of Skye in 1951. His father was William Livingstone Watson and mother was Elizabeth Seton . My interest is his roll in Serbia ww1, which I have plenty to go on. But conflicting places of birth are confusing.  Can anyone help?

Thank you
Alan

Aberdeenshire / John Cumming
« on: Wednesday 06 June 18 16:41 BST (UK)  »
Hello everyone,  I hope you can help me on this.  My grandfather was John Cumming and died on the 1/jan/1997 in Finzean.  He is buried with my Gran Isobel Petrie Cumming at Strachen Cemetery.  Strangely,  I have no idea of when he was born(26th of june rings a bell)  and where he was born.  He spent most of his life as a gamekeeper.

His parents were Donald and Jessie Cumming of Crathie.

Can anyone shed any light on this?  Many thanks for looking.

Cheers
Alan

Hello.  Looking for date and place of death for Letitia.  She was born in 1881 in Pembrokeshire and her father was George.  She was a nurse during ww1 and served with the Scottish Women's Hospitals in France in 1915. Looks like a  large family with many of them migrating to Canada.  Would really appreciate any help.

Margaret Helen Kerr

Date of Bith: 1879
Place of Birth: Campsie, Strilingshire

Good morning,  another of my Scottish Women's Hospital ladies. This case is different, i know her date of birth and when she died(1957). I know about her war years(i have that on my web site). What i don't know is what she did from 1919 till her death.  I think she returned to Serbia in 1919 and worked at the orphanage at Banjina basta(found her name in a book, listing that Margaret Kerr was in a photo)  and returned to Scotland to Lochearnhead. We have a Margaret Ker living in Lochearnhead and am convinced people are confusing Ker with Kerr. However in this link Margaret Ker is different to Kerr http://www.stirlingarchives.scot/2016/03/29/suffragettes-allt-grianach-lochearnhead-1935/

Any details of what became of Margaret Helen Kerr during 1919-1930's would clear this up.

Many thanks for having a look.
regards
Alan

Hello, another of my ww1 nurses. Born in Macduff in 1882. Father was William and  Mother Euphemia.  I know she trained as a nurse in Alloa and Glasgow.   She joined the Scottish Women's Hospitals and served in corsia between 1917-1918. She was living in London in 1918 on her return but after that i have nothing.   Really if i could just find the date she died that would be grand.  Many thanks for looking.
