Berkshire Completed Look ups / Hagbourne parish registers - Davis/Davies
« on: Wednesday 14 September 05 20:23 BST (UK)  »
Hi,

if anyone has the Hagbourne parish registers I would appreciate any information about the Davis/Davies family during the 1820s and 1830s.

Specifically Henry Davis/Davies probably born 1828-29.

thanks,

Julie

I think a coffee house was just like a cafe - somewhere you could go and buy a cup of coffee and read the paper.  I am pretty sure they were very popular in London in the 1700s and that the Lloyds insurance industry developed from what was a coffee house originally.

Completed Census Requests / Re: 1901 lookup for Luker - possibly Reading
« on: Monday 12 September 05 21:12 BST (UK)  »
Hi,

I have interests in the Luker family in Reading -  I think your Frederick may have been the son of James Luker and Sarah Cox, and brother to my ancestor Joseph (also in the building trade).

Would love to exchange info.

Hi,

I am also on the trail of this family (and am intrigued by the seemingly complicated realtionships).  I am descended from Robert Clover who was the son of Robert Clover and Sarah Bravery.

I would love to swap info with you.
