Hi again,

Glad it was of some help, not done alot of work on my Hunt family and so far they are FWK. Only have one marriage so far so don't know alot about them, here it is just in case

St Margarets, Leicester
Entry No.59, SEP 10, 1863, after Banns
WILLIAM HUNT, 20, bach. FWK, of NAVIGATION St, s. of WILLIAM HUNT, FWK
ELIZABETH COOK, 20, sp. of BRIDGE St, d. of JOHN COOK, FWK
Wits: GEORGE SWANN, EMMA MOORE

I haven't found their marriage but I do have them on 1841 census, was looking through for my relatives and remembered your names. Just in case it's

Folio HO 107/601/11
page 7

They are in a household with the Jackson family / denoting change of surname
Mary Powdrill age 20 Occ. looks like F.L
William Weston Age 30 Occ. looks like M.L.
John Wilkins Age15 Occ as William's

Am not used to these abbreviations but at least if these are your relatives then this takes you up to 7th June when the census was taken.

Am also looking for Hunts in Leicester

Hi Kate,
Thanks ever so much for replying.
The father is one of my GGgrandmother's sons who is from Leicester and the baby is age one on the 1901 census. I have only ever traced English births and did not know if looking up an Irish birth is the same ie applying for the cert using a reg district and number.  How  would you advise going about it for the best so that I find it?, I know you mentioned Roscommon but  I know absolutely nothing on obtaining Irish certs, I really appreciate your help on this.

Ireland / Irish birth
« on: Sunday 02 October 05 08:47 BST (UK)  »
Hi all
This is my first posting here so here goes. I need to be pointed in the right direction to find an Irish birth which I have never done before. I have this info

Florence G Hunt Grandchild Age 1 Born Curragh, Ireland

and know her mother was:

Gertrude Hunt M Sons wife Age 23 Born Abergavenny

so I thought I would try and trace Florence first because I have absolutely no ides who her father was and these people are living in Leicester 1901!!!
Would be glad to hear from anyone who can help
