hi yes, I have both those censuses.

John Johnson and Maria from the 1861 census are cousins I believe.
Maria Felicia Perkin marries John Johnson in 1859 (from memory)
obviously they were living together in the 1851 census with Catharine as head of house.

There is always that one piece of the puzzle that is missing!

HI CaroleW.
No I don't have a copy of her death cert yet, only her burial, which puts her in the same area as the other Hyde children.
I'm Guessing that the informant would be either her mother or her PARTNER George Perkin.

Amondg.
Sorry, I should have said that a father was named for Maria Perkin Hyde. But that there is no marriage for Felicia Hyde and George Perkin.

I have an 1841 census for Maria Perkin.

1841 census
Vauxhall Road, Aston.
George Nerkin 20. 1821. Independent. not born in county
Maria Nerkin. 4. 1837
Elizabeth Hyde. 70. 1771. independent. not born in county. (I believe this is Catharine Hyde nee Hanks)

Warwickshire / felicia hyde 1813 st martins
« on: Friday 24 November 17 23:47 GMT (UK)  »
Hi there.
I'm looking for help in finding a baptism for a Felicia Hyde born around 1813.

if my circumstantial evidence is correct she should be the daughter of Thomas Hyde and Catharine. (nee Hanks)

Felicia has an illegitimate daughter, Maria Perkin Hyde, baptised 27 June 1837 at St Philip, B'ham.

Felicia is Buried 25 January 1838. at St James, Aston. abode Lawley Street. aged 25.

Circumstantial parents Thomas and Catherine marry in 1794, and children follow
James, bap 1795. at St martin
Elizabeth. 1800. st martin (age 2)
Joseph 1800. st martin.
Thomas. 1805. st martin
John. 1807. St martin.

After Felicia's burial in 1838 there are three Felicia's born to the remaining Hyde children, all in and around the same area of Birmingham.

This Felicia's baptism would hold the key to the whole family. :)
thanks for reading

Warwickshire / Re: felicia prees
« on: Sunday 19 November 17 09:57 GMT (UK)  »
I'm adding this update for anybody else who comes along searching for the elusive Felicia Prees.

Felicia Prees was born 9 july 1845 to Thomas Hyde and Harriet, formerly Prees.
She was born at Great Barr Street, Birmingham.

Thomas Hyde and Harriet Prees were never married despite having 6 children together.

Elizabeth Hyde. buried 9 august 1838 at St Martins. age 3 abode Lawley street.
Thomas Hyde. buried 13 august 1838 at St Martins. age 3. Abode Lawley Street
Thomas Hyde. B Q1 1838 mmn Prees. Buried 13 January 1843. St Martins. Abode Dartmouth Street.
unnamed female. B and D q1 1839. Mothers maiden name- Prees
Felicia Hyde. B Q3 1844. MMN Prees.
Catherine Hyde. B Q3 1846. mmn Prees. probably Buried 6 sep 1848. St Martins.

1841 census
Lawley Street, Aston

Thomas Hyde 40. 1801. Caster.
Harriet Hyde. 35. 1806.

1851 Census
Back of 45 Belmont Row, Aston.

Thomas Hyde. 45. 1806. Brass Caster. Birmingham
Harriet Hyde. 41. 1811. Domestic. Birmingham.
? (female)Hyde. 6. 1845. School. Birmingham. (this name is unreadable but presumably Felicia)

Thomas Hyde dies aged 47. Buried 9 April 1852 at St James The Less- Abode Belmont Row.

Harriet Prees then marries Charles Adey in 1857 as a spinster as she was never married

Felicia Hyde marries George Kibble in 1863 as Felicia Prees.

She does name her father as Thomas, but perhaps to avoid the stigma of illegitimacy, she names him Thomas Prees, (Brass) Caster.

Finally, the other Felicia Hydes, b1838, and b1842, belong to Thomas Hyde's' brothers, John and James, respectively.

I thank everyone on this site, and on the many others that I have asked for and received help on, with this family.

Lancashire / Harwood and Yates family/s
« on: Saturday 15 July 17 15:03 BST (UK)  »
Hi There I'm wondering if somebody could help me untangle this family of 4th and 5th great grandparents.

3 February 1850 John Harwood marries Ellen Yates at the parish church of Manchester (cathedral)

John (1826) is the son of William and Sarah Harwood- nee Yates. and in 1841 the family is living at Rodgers Row, Manchester.

Ellen Yates (c1820) is the daughter of Thomas Yates. Occ: Dyer
(But in 1841 was living as Ellen Skine at Back queen St, Manchester.)

1851 census
12 Rodgers Row, Manchester

William Harwood. 64 1787- Fustian Cutter  -Manchester
Sarah Harwood    62 1789- Fustian Cutter  -Manchester (nee Yates)
Thomas Yates      64 1787- Cotton Dyer     -Flixton (lodger )

I'm trying to work out if, as well as being in-laws through their childrens marriage, Thomas Yates and Sarah Yates/ Harwood could be brother and sister.

any help greatly received

Hi all, I'm in a bit of a confused state with both this family and Herefordshire PR's (of which there doesn't seem to be many)

details of the family are below.
I am mainly looking for help in finding Thomas Bowcott's marriage to Hannah, presumably somewhere in Herefordshire, and around 1816 +-5
The birth of the last daughter Elizabeth suggests mmn of Edwards but of course there may be 2 marriages to Hannah's

I'm also looking for help in finding the missing baptisms. FindMyPast have very little in the way of early H'shire PR's. I have also searched extensively on Familysearch.
Parish chest doesn't seem to offer many PR's either!!

finally if anyone can find Thomas and/or Hannah in the 1851 census....(I doubt this one though)

1841 census
new town, stoke edith, Hereford and Dore.

Thomas Boulcot    45 1796 ag lab (y)
Hannah                45 1796           (y)
eliza Boulcot         20 1820                      (later census says POB Aymestrey)
Thomas boulcot    18 1823               (possible baptism 23 april 1823 aymestry)(later census Dilwyn)
John Boulcot         12 1829                (later census say Felton)
Emma boulcot       9 1832                 (possible bap 22 jan 1832 Ocle Pychard)
Charles boulcot     7  1834                   (later census possibly westhide)
George boulcot      4 1837                    (later census westhide)
Elizabeth boulcot    9m 1840                 (poss bap 30 aug 1840 Withington/ GRO mmn Edwards)

probable other children

Elizabeth bottcate bap 1 nov 1818 Elton, herefordshire
James Bowkitt bap 28 nov 1820 burrington, "   (later census say only Hereford)
William Bowcutt     C1829/32                           (Later census say Dilwyn)

The family are missing as a whole in 1851.
Eliza, James, Thomas and William have definitely moved out and are all marrying between 1849 and 1854 in Staffordshire.

1861 census
Shucknall cottage, Weston beggard

Thomas bowcott    65 1796 felton
Hannah (Edwards) 64 1797 Bradnor, Wales
George bowcott     25 1837 Weston Beggard

finally, thank you for reading and thanks in advance of any help
