Just thought about this, ;D try your local library, most council's subscribe to Ancestry Library Edition,
With ours, You have to be a library member ::), book a PC, £1 for half an hour, print off's extra,
It's a lot cheaper than a subscription,

According to TNA Medal Cards, There are 245 cards for George Armstrong, ::) but only 16 are in the DLI, ;D 13 if he had no middle name,
When looking for my great uncle, I noted all the service numbers down relating to his regiment, Then joined Ancestry on a 14 day trial, Here's the link, Click on each header to expand, then back to return to the list,
Good Luck

If you would like to post a topic on the Westmorland board for him that will get your post count up towards PM,

Hi, John Richardson was staying with his niece on the night of the 1901 census at
20,Durham Street,
West Hartlepool,
Co Durham,

PRO Ref RG13/4641,

John Richardson (1848-1919) was my Grt Grt Grandfarther, who's main employment was a carrier, which by todays standard, would be a long distance lorry driver,
He died at Carlisle, but was brought back and buried in Hilton & Murton cemetery,
If you need anymore info about the Richardson's just fire away,

Regards Brian

I often wondered what the proper name was for those people,Up our way they were know as s**t shovellers, ;D this is probably where the phrase "Fell in the you know what"  ::) came from,

What a disgusting subject, over lunch at that,
