Hi Andrea,

I have got lots of little bits of information about the family but have been unable to tie them together , it appears there were 2 Amelia's in Leeds round about the time that I am researching. Also confusion over Joseph and Joshua Ingham one of which must be her father. I have found her marriage to Henry Binns in the archives, also the birth of Joseph or Joshua who may be her brother, she also has a son Joseph.

So you can see why it's a bit confusing!

I am planning another visit to Halifax archives in the next week or two and will try to find as much as I can on the whole of the Ingham family/ies.

Will let you know if I find a link.

I have just finished compiling the Database of members of Vale Baptist Church in Todmorden. from 1851 when the church was formed from members from Shore Baptist Church.

I am willing to do lookups but please remember that Baptisms will be adult ones and there are no dates of birth.

It does however include addresses and in some instances spouse name and date of death.

It might be helpful if you already have information about a person and wish to fill in other minor details.

I am unable to divulge information about anyone who is a member now and still alive except with their consent.

Hi all,

I have a number of births and marriages and am still trying to piece them together;
Amelia may have been registered as Ann
I think her parents may have been Joshua and Elizabeth
Only thing I know for sure is that Henry Binns 22 married Amelia Ingham 21 at St Mary's Hunslet Leeds on 18th March 1861. I have seen that record.

I do intend to go over to the archives at Halifax to confirm any findings but it may be in a few weeks time.

So I would appreciate any help you can give re these lookups;

Any census with Joseph or Joshua Ingham probably born about 1820 in the Hunslet/Leeds area.

I do appreciate your help,
Lyn

Thanks Tricia,

That certainly looks like Henry's parents.

Hi Emma,

Yes he was probably registered as Ingham as Amelia had him before she married Henry.

Thanks for your help,
Lyn

Thanks Emma,

It's all falling into place now.

I think that I will check the registers next time I am in Halifax to find out about young Joseph, he could be Amelia's son or brother. I did find one Joseph born 1843 to Amelia's parents.

At least I have some jigsaw pieces now it's just getting them to fit in the right order!

Thanks again,
Lyn

Thanks Tricia,

Will try to work it out, maybe his birth could be my next lookup at the archives.

Alternatively Joseph could have been Amelia's brother therefore would have been brother in law to Henry.

Even more for me to try to piece together!!!!!
