Hi Emma and Kathy,

Have been to the archives at Halifax today and found Amelia and Henry's marriage in 1861. She is down as 21 so must have been born around 1840. Her father was Joseph or Joshua and her mother Elizabeth - I didn't find her birth but that of her brother in Nov 1843.

Thanks Tricia,

I think that probably is Matilda and her family.

Sorry I didn't put Amelia's maiden name - it was Ingham.

Also Henry's father was Abraham Binns - forge man.

Any help appreciated,
Thanks,
Lyn

Hi Tricia,

Thanks for that lookup.

I have been to the archives at Halifax this morning and was fortunate to find Henry and Amelia's marriage, with their fathers' names on so with your findings I have a bit more to go at.

So Joseph was born before their marriage.

I don't suppose you have access to the 1851 and 1841 census do you? Her father was Jos - either Joseph or Joshua and mother was Elizabeth. I will try to find them but if I don't it would be a help.

Thanks again,
Lyn

Hi Legs,

Yes I wondered too about the Fenns. Maybe????????????????
I can't check because I havent even got past Connie yet born about 1930 somewhere in London.

If anyone can connect her to Elizabeth I would be absolutely delighted!

It might just be a Red Herring!!!!!

Florence Hunter (1892-94)

Florence Hunter toured with D’Oyly Carte Opera Company “D” from March 1892 to December 1894, appearing as Rose in The Vicar of Bray (March 1892-December 1893, and November-December 1894), Dorcas in Haddon Hall (December 1892-December 1893), and Princess Kalyba in Utopia Limited (December 1893-December 1894).

Hi Kev,

I have been on 1837 and saved the images for James West's death in 1856 in Devon, am not sure which is your James as some of the pages are difficult to read.

If you send me a PM with your email address I could send them to you as attachments.

Hi rdmurg

Have found your Farm by doing a google search its at the end of Leg 4 on this Calderdale Way Relay Course Description.

The track continues round the moor with fine views up Luddenden Dean to Lower Saltonstall and Castle Carr.  Leave the moor by a stile where a walled stony track drops steeply into a lane.  Follow the metalled road downhill, turning sharp right and left, as far as the cobbled driveway on the right signed to High House Lane.  Turn sharp left behind a building onto a field path leading eventually by a walled path to Jerusalem Lane.  Turn right for Jerusalem Farm.  Above Jerusalem Farm you may use the gap in the wall, bypassing the farm leading down to the river at GR 034279; cross Wade Bridge, bear half right up the wood then sharp left where another path joins at a wooden post; follow this uphill then on a green lane to the Hullet and Upper Saltonstall.  Bear right into Heys Lane and quickly left up a track past Lower Green Edge Farm; turn right up the next lane and onto the changeover point at Castle Carr Road.

Hope this helps,
