Doesn't help but there is a tree on Ancestry which has a child born of James WRIGHT and Susan MATTHEWS of Grays, Essex, however it has Susan's birth in 1798 and the child (Mary Ann) as being baptised with the name MATHAMS, so is clearly wrong/not yours. Looking on FreeReg I see a number of children baptised between between at least 1807 and 1819 with parents James and Susan(nah) MATHAMS, or variations.

Will keep looking for your couple ...

Modified to add:
Can't see any WRIGHT children baptised in Grays, Essex in this time frame on FreeReg to a James and Susan, can you provide any details of their children please which may help with naming patterns etc.

There are also these from newspapers: some death notices after about 1835; and an advertisment for the sale of the Estate in 1843 which gives a description.

Hello JamesCT and welcome to RootsChat.

I can't see any obvious marriages that look right at this stage. How is it that you know the year and names? Is there any other information that may help in the search - children, occupation, census details etc?  :)

Sorry I can't be of more help.

I did mean to add though that there is this reference to Flakebridge and High Flakebridge

"(28). Flakebridge, house about 3˝ m. S.E. of the church, has remains of original windows and a doorway with a scrolled head on the lintel.
Condition—Poor.

(29). High Flakebridge, house 300 yards S. of (28), was built late in the 17th or early in the 18th century.
Condition—Poor."

May i ask how do you know Ursula Rooke married Sir Thomas Hardres?
Might you have a date?

From a monument in Upper Hardres St Peter and St Paul Church

"Here lies interred the body of Sir Thomas Hardres, Bart., who departed this life on the 23 day of February, in the year of our Lord 1688, in the 28th year of his age. He married Ursula, the second daughter of Sir William Rooke, Knight. (by whom he had issue 2 children, namely Frances who died in her infancy, and William now living.) She died on 8th January in the year 1707, in the 52d year of her age, and also lies buryed under this stone."

"The monuments and painted glass of upwards of one hundred churches, chiefly in the eastern part of Kent, most of which were examined by the editor in person, and the rest communicated by the resident clergy. With an appendix, containing three churches in other counties. To which are added, a small collection of detached epitaphs, with a few notes on the whole. By Philip Parsons, A. M. Minister of wye, in Kent"

This gazetteer has many references over the  years including a map from 1579 which includes the name Kellathe and "Building, symbol for a hamlet, which may or may not have a nucleus."
