Hi fifer

I already had 1881 census. Could be right with the 1871 census though. Hadn't checked it thoroughly as there were a couple of headland families in Yorkshire at the time.

Also, can't find a marriage for her mother to a mr groves.

Hi val

Yes I believe that is him on 1841. Believe marchmont is in polworth parish haddingstonshire. Believe parents married in st Marylebone in 1842. David was born in Huntingdonshire and Ann in Cumberland.

David died in knaresborough district in 1856. Have found most of the family on 1861, 1871 and 1881 census apart from Anne who I can't find on 1871 census

Fife / Anne headland born 1845 kilconquhar?
« on: Saturday 30 December 17 13:32 GMT (UK)  »
Hi all

I am doing some research on my Headland family and am trying to confirm information on a Anne headland, daughter of David headland and Ann edmondson.

The only info to date I have are from the 1851 census which refers to her as Ann Headland born 1845 kilconquhar. By 1861 they were in Harrogate and place of birth in census just says Scotland.

Any help gratefully received

Jon

I tried looking for my great aunt. Strangely hers is locked even though she died in 1991, yet my grandma who was younger and died in 1998 isn't.

I know someone on ancestry had copied a bit from my tree as I made an error with a name and had guessed the date of birth and it looks like they copied it.
