If you can find someone with the glass book of registration plates, they should be able to give a rough date of when that reg plate was issued.

It's either a BSA or a norton and probably late 1920s

CH was a derby registration plate if that helps

Hi all.

I am doing some research and on one of the records that comes up is for a marriage licence. Can someone explain the marriage process with marriage licence in the USA. The licence is in Ohio if that makes a difference

Leicestershire / Re: cooper family /woolman family and /hartshorn family
« on: Tuesday 06 September 16 17:08 BST (UK)  »
Hi
Had a quick look. I have a Charles hartshorn and an Emma Allen. Charles born 1846 and Emma 1841 I think. Living on barkby road thurmaston on 1881 census.
I'll have a look to see if i can find anything else. As far as I can tell, all the thurmaston families can trace back to john hartshorn born 1740. The families seem to move between belgrave, birstal and thurmaston.

I think we have spoke before but don't think it was the bible

Hi all
I myself am from kibworth beauchamp. My Mums side of the family ended up in belgrave, but have found further back in st margrets in Leicester as well as st Leonard's, thurmaston, birstall, wigston and walcot.
Dad's family is mainly northamptonshire, but part of it goes back to tilton on the hill and halstead.

Xinia

Do you know Charles and Mary's birth date and Mary's maiden name? A lady called Ann Price and myself have managed to sort out a fair bit of the thurmaston families.
I am related to a Charles hartshorn and Mary smith
