Familysearch.org have a digitised collection of the Marriage Bonds at:

You need to have a (free) account and be signed in to access.

They can't  be searched by index but you can pin specific records down by date and parish. In my experience the bulk of material is proforma but useful snippets sometimes appear, such as guarantors who might be relatives.

Logged in using the same user name and password as ancestry.co.uk. Seems to work for me.

Bontyberem is Pontyberem. The first letter has mutated from p to b. Pontyberem was part of Llangendeirne until 1919.

Quite the opposite.

We found it fascinating and surely the whole point of genealogy is 'going back and back'. These programmes have to be limited in their coverage so covering substantial areas of a tree can be difficult in the time they have. It was also good to see her using some of the basic methods of research herself (good for encouraging newbies) rather than being presented with everything by experts.

Never seen or heard of her before but she came across as a strong, 'real' Eastender and not  a victim to disability.

Holm (pronounced Ham) is on Orkney mainland. Westray and Papa Westray are two of the most northern islands in Orkney so nowhere near.

Wind Street has changed a lot in some ways. Probably more watering holes per square inch than anywhere else in Swansea.

The current 31 Wind Street is a Franky and Benny's.

I don't know if you have any welsh facebook friends but I guarantee you that our welsh teachers would be having fits if they saw how we chat to each other by text and Facebook and messenger - we tend to use the very informal welsh that we chat with day to day.   Although we all can and do use the "proper" welsh when there is a need to.

I have a relative who actually teaches Welsh and she uses 'joio' instead of mwynhau (enjoy).
