Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Re: Moir from Aberdeenshire
« on: Monday 01 December 14 11:47 GMT (UK)  »
had a search on ancestry, says james moir the guy in the image was born
Birth 2 Aug 1830 in Tarves, Aberdeenshire, Scotland
Death 5 Jun 1908 in Tarves, Aberdeenshire, Scotland#

Occupation
year 1881
Age: 51
Farmer of 36 3/4 acres and Blacksmith employing 2 men

and going by other peoples research on the rest of the family they seem to show blacksmith when they were younger and turning into farmers later on

his father was also a james moir -
Birth 13 Feb 1793 in Methlick, Aberdeenshire, Scotland
Death 13 Oct 1875 in Annat, Methlick, Aberdeen
Occupation
year 1841
Age: 48
Blacksmith, Andet, Methlick

Occupation
1861
Age: 68
Farmer, 30 acres, 1 man and 1 woman, Andet, Methlick

not sure if this is any help, i'm sure you might have seen this information, there is some photos of his father etc.

Europe / Re: My Grandparents (Drozdowski) Poland - can anyone read Polish?
« on: Monday 01 December 14 09:17 GMT (UK)  »
Thank's again Slavko, i appreciate the time you have spent helping me in this post.
the first image was of my grandparents, who's name was Wladyslaw on all his documents here but Władek on the photo, so it gives me a good start to checking to see if that's maybe the reason i can't find him in ancestry records.  ;D
