The Common Room / Marriage with consent of parents

I have a marriage in 1832 between William Skingle & Mary Stock

They were married "with consent of parents"

This implies that one of them was under 21

I know William was baptised in 1808, so was 24, but I do not know for sure about Mary. Does it mean that she was below 21 even though the later censuses would place her date of birth between 1803-1808?

Or is this just one of those misleading things. It would be helpful to know as I'm trying to find Mary's baptism and parents

Cheers

I suddenly realised i hadn't posted to thank you for your look-up

I can only apologise.

I've now found out through the 1861 census that Sarah/Mary/Lewis are mine.

Thanks very much.

I'd love to know where all the fathers are in the 1841 census - I know mine was still alive

Cheers

The Common Room / Place of residence at time of marriage

I have a little puzzle.

I was under the impression that to be married in a certain parish the couple had to at least nominally live there - and that probably at least one of them actually did.

I have a marriage in 1840 at the Parish Church of St Brides in the City of London.

However the groom and bride give there addresses as Lant St, Borough and York St, Walworth respectively - both in Surrey!!

Am I missing something?

I'm used to the addresses on Marriage Certs not tying up, but this seems odd.

Can anyone enlighten me?

Cheers
