Armagh / Re: Best and McCord families of Bocombra/Seagoe
« on: Saturday 26 January 13 01:45 GMT (UK)  »
I have a photo of the headstone of Mary Best, wife of James Best which should relate to these families from Bocombra Townland. She died in 1831.It was taken at Shankill Graveyard in Lurgan. The file size is too large to upload so if any of you would like it emailed to you send me a pm
Hope it proves useful.

Regards,

Hi,

Have you any more details re her family (names of siblings, denomination etc) ??  It may be worthwhile to check Seagoe Church of Ireland records.   At the time of the Griffith valuation there were families with these names living within Seagoe Parish in the neighbouring townlands of Knockmena(gh), Lisniskey, Tamnifiglasson and Tamnificarbet.

If you use the search facility on this site and search for Sprint in Armagh you should find a post I started for user Corsamjz, they are connected to the Sprint and Preston family.

Hope you find a connection with them.
