My grandmother whom I never knew was Sarah Elizabeth Briggs. She married John Handley and had a son John.(1907)
She was killed by a lorry on Stafford Road , Wolverhampton 09/09/1926.
Had stepson William born approx 1896. Sarah was Domestic Housemaid (age 26) for a dental surgeon in Waterloo Road, Wolverhampton in 1901.
May have married Sept 1903.
May have had a sister Charlotte who married William March from Norfolk and lived in York. Not sure about this.

My late uncle Ernest Arthur Willis was born in Alton Hampshire 20th December 1914. He had a sister Dorothy Willis who was approx 18 months older.
Parents were Sidney James Willis and Kate nee Heather.
Kate died young and the children were split up. My uncle later known as Arthur was raised by the Heather family in Headley Hampshire and Dorothy by the Willis family. Believe Dorothy became Deacon then Sandiford by marriages and settled in South Africa.
Arthur raised by aunt Maud and uncles Albert and William Heather.
Arthur moved to Wolverhampton and married Margaret Barker.

My maternal grandmother was Evangeline Parker, sister Elsie.
Evangeline married John Barker of Willenhall.(second wife)
She was born 27/09/1895 and Elsie 1892. Their father was William born approx 1859, had brothers John and Joseph.Lived in Albion St Willenhall, before moving to Wednesfield. William Parker was a Press Tool Maker. Believe William married Hannah Banks , my g grandmother.
Possible my gg grandfather was Joshua married to Mary A.
John Barker and family moved to Brewood Staffs where they had several businesses.
My mother had half brothers William, Percy and one other who changed his name and moved to Somerset.

I am trying to trace my paternal family Handley. Were entered as Hanley on 1881 census in Salop. My father was John born 1907, his father John born 1869  and my great grandfather John born 1842! Family originated in Shropshire. John senior married Emma Morris and had children, Edwin, John, James, Ellen, William and Alice. John snr was originally from Coreley Salop. Emma from Stoke St Milborough. Children born in Bitterley, Burford, Stainton Lacy and Ashford Carbonnell all Salop. John Handley grandfather moved to Wolverhampton and married Ellen from Coven. Later married my grandmother Sarah Briggs who was killed in RTA. William was my father's half brother
