Just to say that there are two auctions on ebay for an Indenture and another document dated 1903 concerning Edward Cambell DALTON and Pattinson DALTON... should anyone be researching this family. You would just need to type in "Old Lancashire Document, Dalton Family"

Hello,
I tried to order the CD for St wilfrid's but it is noted as being sold out... Would you be able to do look ups for me for BRABANT please? The parents were (John) Louis Brabant & Annie Maria Dobson who married in St Wilfrids on 10 November 1886. They had 5 children - Louis Christopher Brabant, born about 1888 (died in the Workhouse aged 10), Kathleen Halpin Brabant born 1890, died 1899, Gaspard Theodore Brabant born 1892 died 1894, William Alexander Brabant, born 1893 (died 1947 in Dorset) and Edward Leopold Brabant, born 1895.
It's really kind of you to offer look ups - thank you so much.

Hello,
Stephen Pretty was born 20 Dec 1798 in Milton, but doesn't appear to have been baptised in the Church there... He was in the Merchant navy (that's where I got his date of birth from) as were several other PRETTY men. He was buried in Milton on 1 November 1880 and figures in the burial register. His wife was Abigail... (buried 15 Sep 1877 in Milton aged 79). They had one son William baptised in Milton on 3 July 1836..
One of my great grandmother's sisters was married to Edward Oliver Pretty (b.1840 in Milton, also a Mariner) and they married in Frindsbury in 1860. They were Weslyans or Bible Christians... Edward's father was born in Milton in 1809 - he may be related in some way to your PRETTY family.

I have found another posting dating from last year, but I don't know how to contact the people - one is called heywood and the other alpinecottage. They seem to be able to do lookups, but I don't know how to contact them either... Although they probably won't look at the message anymore (because they've already answered it!) I've sent another "reply" message with this same request...
This appears to be a really good forum, but not easy to use...
By the way - what does PM mean (apart from this afternoon!)

This isn't actually a reply... rather a request. I'm new to rootschat and can't fathom out how to contact Heywood or Alpinecottage as I too am looking for a marriage look up in St Wilfrids RC church.
Anyone reading this - would you be able to help me?
I'm looking for the details concerning the marriage in 1886 of John Louis (Johannes Ludovicus) BRABANT and Annie Maria DOBSON. I saw on a Manchester website that John Louis's father was Jean Baptiste Brabant. I'd be interested to know whether Annie Maria's father is noted (I think his name was Christopher) and how old the couple were. John Louis was a widower... and eventually who were the witnesses if that is mentioned.
I'd be really grateful if you see this message and are able to reply.

I'm new to this and can't fathom out how to send a message to "BIKO" for  marriage look up in St Wilfrid's RC church...
The marriage took place in 1886 between John Louis (Johannes Ludovicus) BRABANT and Anne Maria DOBSON.
I'd be very grateful if you were able to give me more details - for example, how old they were, and who Anne Marie's father was...
