Researching on behalf of a descendant - I'll message you  :-)

Hi  :-)  I'm also on the trail of this George Sinclair, trying to distinguish him from the George Sinclair at Pigeon Bay - I think it's possible some family stories have melded, and it is looking like not the same person.

I'm descended from William Smith and Mary Doe too :-)

My line comes from their daughter Mary Anne (Polly) m. Hezekiah Bennett. I see descendants through Sybilla all through my DNA matches.

Had to switch to a different browser that I've not used Ancestry on before!  I'm in, but it's not behaving nicely.  Giving me limited results, but keeps taking me to subscription pages.

Nope  :-(  I am logged out of everything, turned location off on my device - it still reloads as .com.au no matter what I do.

Does anyone know if access is restricted?  I'm in New Zealand, and I can get to the .co.uk site and see the free access button, but it automatically reloads as .com.au and I can't do a thing.

I've taken the weekend off specifically and really want to get in!

Nannyj - I just saw your signature line with Cullens from Dublin.  I have some of those too.  If you come across Cullens married into the O'Hara/Canavan family, they'd be mine  :-)

Omigoodness - I guess that means I won't be going out anywhere this weekend!

Thank you, thank you!  I've been trying to unknot this Stevens ancestor since the 80s, and didn't manage it even back when I did have an Ancestry subscription!  Sometimes it just takes one puzzle piece to send you in the right direction  :-)

I had better drag myself to bed - it's sooo tempting to stay up and keep searching for more.

So, that baptism for Mary Ann is the one I'm seeing on FamilySearch at St Thomas Apostle in London?    You'll be seeing a fuller version of the record  :-)
