Hi,

If anyone is going there could you look up a marriage for me please?

Thank you

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Lookup in 1851 Unfilmed Census Returns
« on: Sunday 10 September 06 04:19 BST (UK)  »
Hi,

Could someone lookup a family for me in the above?
The names are Jesse and Charlotte Warhurst. I am not sure which area they lived, as they moved around Manchester a little. This might help:
In 1841 they lived in Trotter Lane, Manchester and in 1861 they lived in Bloom Street, Manchester. I have searched the 1851 census details and the family don't appear anywhere, so they must have lived one of the areas which were water damaged.

Thank you.

Can anyone put a rough date to this photo? It was taken in Chester, in the studio of W Speed. Does the uniform give any clues as to the year?

« on: Thursday 24 August 06 14:56 BST (UK)  »
Please could somebody look up the marriage of John Brewer (born in Witheridge) and Mary Ann Babb (possibly born in Exeter). I don't have a very clear date for when this took place, but it must have been after 1841 and before 1851, It is possible they were married in Exeter.

Thank You,
Pippa

Please could somebody look up:

Jesse Warhurst (aged 50-51), wife Charlotte Warhurst (born Halifax, aged 37) and family (daughter Elizabeth, aged 1-2, son James Jesse, aged less than 1 year) in the Manchester area. The children were christened at Manchester Cathedral if this helps with the area of Manchester.
Thank you.

Lancashire Lookup Requests / 1841 & 1851 census - Warhurst, Manchester
« on: Monday 17 April 06 11:42 BST (UK)  »
Hi,

Could anyone look up in the above census returns the details of Jesse Warhurst, born Burnage 1798. He was a Horseman in later census details. In 1841 he wife was Ann, and by 1851 his second wife was Charlotte born in Halifax in 1814. I believe he lived in Manchester for both census, the area possibly around Hart Street or Bloom Street which I think is the City Centre.

Thanks.

Lancashire / Parish of St George, Manchester
« on: Saturday 15 April 06 02:21 BST (UK)  »
Can anyone tell me which part of Manchester, the parish of St George covered in the 1800s? I have 2 street names which I think are in this area, Worsley Street and Osborne Street, does that help?

Lancashire Lookup Requests / 1861 Census, Manchester - Warhurst
« on: Wednesday 02 February 05 13:54 GMT (UK)  »
I would be grateful if somebody could look up the details of Charlotte Warhurst and family on the 1871 Census. She was probably a widow (I think her husband died in 1870). It is possible she lived at 51 Worsley Street, as daughter Elizabeth was married from there in 1878. But I believe there were several Worsley Streets in the Manchester area. The wedding took place at St Georges church if that is of any help.
Thanks
Pippa
