hello I have a copy of her death cert  def Turner I just know they were married and I think it would of been a roman Catholic church I was wondering  if there was one near Rifle court Bradford when they had their first son  She  had a tragic time didn't she ? I dint even think Lews family bothered over much with her although one of her daughters Julia was living with her Father n law  at one time but it was her niece who was present when she died and WHO looked after the kids,Mary seem to have a baby every year no wonder her heart gave out  thanks for your input much appreciated always good on this site so many people help even getting old photo's done wonderful people out there  Berniex

thank you all so much I still think she married as the story is that Llewellyn(the rat) ran off with a barmaid and left her with a young family my grandmother was the youngest age 2  he only went back to Yorkshire a place called Catliffe? working in the mines with his NEW family even gave them the same christian names!! he had 5 to Annie  his new one but he couldn't marry her until Mary died she did die aged 48 and her niece came over from Ireland to look after the kiddies,I just feel sure they married and Lew was not a catholic. On the census  he is down as Louis Turner and the woman he was living with is marked as his wife but she wasn't ,I suppose its poetic justice but Lew fell under a train on his way back from Wrexham(to see his abandoned kids)  at a train station in Shropshire he was very drunk so the inquest said,There now that's all our scandal I hope i do find a marriage as I feel so sorry for poor Mary she couldn't read you know just gave a cross isn't it sad? She deserved better than him Many thanks Bernie

hello Yorkshire this is my first posting in your county and I am looking for help,I am trying to trace a marriage for my gg/father Llewellyn TURNER and Mary BRODIGAN,he was born Ruthin Wales in 1848 she was born Drogheda Ireland 1844,I am trying your board because I have tried everywhere and can't find a marriage,I feel sure they would have been married because I have all the Baptism cert for her siblings in Ireland so it mattered to them also when Mary died In Wrexham she was buried in a village churchyard but she did have a catholic priest to Officiate so I reckon they would have been married ,The reason I am trying your board is that they had their first child in Bradford 1872 named Thomas Edward Turner no 5 Rifle court,it states mother Mary Turner formally Brodigan.Llewellyn is down as labourer on the railway Does anybody have any idea how I can check these folk out I know where they ended up and their second son was born in Drogheda after that all the rest in Wrexham.I'm just thinking maybe they had to get married and if they did I think it would of been in Yorkshire Maybe they met there I would be most grateful for any help  thanks Bernie
