Andrew's dob doesn't fit for him to be a brother to either John or Martha who were both born 1824 whereas Andrew j. was born 1853.

I think you may have misinterpreted what I was saying. When I said Martha and Andrew were 1st cousins, I was referring to  Martha McGall. Andrew's birth of 1853 fits in perfectly with the births of the children of John & Martha. This could/would mean Andrew's father was a brother to John Watterson  b. 1824 or the Martha Watterson b. 1824 who was married to John.

George Watterson -b 1850
Margaret  b 1854
Richard Watterson- b 1860
Martha Watterson McGall - 1865

Andrew J Watterson - 1853

I am pretty sure I have now found the death of  Geo. in New Hampshire Dec 31,1879, in Newmarket, age 30, which is perfect. We know that he died before 1906 as per the obit of Richardson Watterson.
I wonder if Geo had an obit.

Here are some things I'm seeing and assumptions I'm making.

I believe all the children, with exception to Richard(1906) and Martha(1921) died before John did in 1890. The local paper "The Newmarket Advertiser" is available from 1891-1932. This would be one year after John's death, unfortunately. There is no mention in the paper of John's children except for two, Richard and Martha, as noted in their obits previously posted. Because of this lack of mention in the paper from 1891-1906 and Richard's obit stating he and Martha were the last two surviving children, I assume the other 7 siblings died prior to 1891.

=====================

There is one name I'm consistently seeing in the paper, and he appears to be related, Andrew J Watterson, born 1853 Ireland. He died in 1924. He's easy to follow in Family Search records.

His obit in 1924 mentions his nearest living relatives are 2nd cousins living in Raymond. This would be where Martha McGall was living with her family. There are a couple of small snippets in the local paper on 28 Dec 1923, with one stating  Andrew is seriously ill with heart trouble. And just below that a snippet saying; "Mrs. Elizabeth Fairbanks of Hopedale, MA and Miss McGall of Raymond are stopping at A.J. Watterson's". The Elizabeth Fairbanks is on Andrew wife, Emma French's, side of the family. I assume the Miss McGall of Raymond is one of Martha's daughters. If this is true, then Martha and Andrew were 1st cousins and that Andrew's father would have been John Watterson's brother?

Richard Watterson was born abt 1835/1836 in Ireland and was married to Eliza Ann McIlroy abt 1855. I can't find the marriage but presuming Ireland as their first child Mary Ann was born Ireland abt 1855, second child Thomas G. born Ohio abt 1859.

It appears Richard and Eliza had a son William, born 1865 Ohio, who died in 1915.

Very lengthy and detailed obit for William...a ton of information!

Richard had a brother Gabriel who died Oct 16, 1912 also in Ohio.

It appears you have some information that is confused. The Gabriel, who died Oct. 16, 1912, died in Missouri. Also,  Gabriel's DC indicates he had different parents then Richard.

Richard died July 15,1910 and I am looking for the names of his parents, thinking John Watterson and Mary Sands.

I think the Alfred in the 1915 census is actually "Albert"

This would be them in 1920 census. Howard is now married to Mary MacKrell. If Albert is living with them, that seems to indicate that Catherine may have died.

1920 Census: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M4YC-P85

This appears to be the death record for Albert in 1965.

Albert's obit mentions a half brother Harvey and half sister Evelyn. This matches with the 1930 census.

Catherine may have died between 1915 and 1919. or they were divorced

That's what I've been thinking too.

They had a child in 1916 who only lived a couple of months.
