Hi again
I must have them written down somewhere, but not to hand right at the moment.
But I will have a look see if I can find them in my archive ;D
John

Thank you so much. I really appreciate it.

Hi
I think you are right, and your James is very likely to be the younger one, born to Anthony Shailer and Ann Vokins.
I have got hold of some transcripts and can confirm that the following were baptized at Kensington to James and Isabel Shailer of Little Chelsea. Several record that James was a gardener. Isabella 1782 is bap 14 July 1782 as Isabel.

Elizabeth Mary Ann 1778
Ann Vokins 1780-1799
Isabella 1782
James 1785-1858
Samuel1787-1838
Eleanor Amelia 1790

Also in there is another Anthony Shailer, bap 16 Feb 1783, son of Henry + Charity Lee, gardener, Little Chelsea.
John

Hi, I’m back working on this line and wondered if you have the actual dates for these children, not just the years. It would be wonderful if you do.  I really appreciate your help.

Hi,
Just seen your post. Jane Cook and Thomas Simons were my 5xgreat grandparents. Would love to compare notes.
I would love to compare notes.
Do you have parents for your Jane.  Does any of the information in this thread make sense to you.
Many thanks for making contact and please feel free to message me.

Great work Mckha and Maureen.  :)

Jen, please let us know if the descendant does get the certificate. Would love to know what it reveals.
I have been in touch with the descendant and unfortunately it appears that he might not be in a position to get the cert.
I don't like unsolved mysteries so I guess I'll have to save my money (pensioner) and get it myself.  I would just like to prove this one way or another to keep my tree accurate as it is my Bohee "family" just not my direct line.
Thanks everyone.

:) :) :)

I really want to know who Mr Ralph was.
Hope it is a close enough connection of the OP for her to spend the money.

Not close enough for me to spend the money (I'm in New Zealand) and although I am a Bohee descendant it is not my line however I will pass this information onto the direct line descendant and hope he follows up. I am sure he will be delighted to finally get it sorted.
Jen xx

Thank you all so much for the information to date. It has made tracking so much easier for me.

Birth

RALPH, FLORENCE  LOUISA     BOHEE
GRO Reference: 1880  M Quarter in WANDSWORTH  Volume 01D  Page 637

I will try tracking this one and see if I can find a mother's Christian name and a marriage of a Bohee to a Ralph.

Thank you for this find.

This is my thinking too. This is a note I made when researching.

On the 1881 Census I have Jonathon (listed as married) living with his sons John and Henry but I can't find his wife Elizabeth or daughter Elizabeth in 1881.  Could Elizabeth jnr  be the mother of Florence Louisa??
Elizabeth jnr marries in 1881 to William Buckerfield and has 2 children Alice 1883 and Elizabeth Ann 1886.  Elizabeth jnr the mother dies in 1886.
Could explain why Florence Louisa is with her Uncle and Aunt in 1891  Maybe registered under her mother's maiden name??

Thank you for posting the above info. I see on the 1911 that 5 were still living so I have that correct. I also see that they had a nurse child with them aged 3yrs Dorothy Maud Davies. No mother's maiden name on the GRO in 1908.
John Bohee is the son of Jonathan Bohey/Bohee and Elizabeth Vince married 1857
Children
Ann Bohee (Vince). 1851-1851
William 1858-1915
Emily  1860-1864
Elizabeth. 1863- 1886
John 1866-1944
Henry Richard 1868-1938

Elizabeth Bohee née Vince dies in 1890 and Jonathan remarries in 1901 to Susan Anna Maria Corley/Couley. Susan was the widow of Thomas Paine Dumper.
Jonathan dies in 1907
