took a long time - but I found this Karel Francies Lippens b 24th April 1840 - married Rosalie D'Hooge  AND in 1887 - 16th February to Leonie Marie Martin
https://gw.geneanet.org/ddeygers?n=lippens&oc=&p=karel+francies

father Bernard Lippens b 1813 Eekloo - and mother was Marie Louise Flocquin who died 1874

hope it helps  :)

for what it is worth - it certainly looks like Charles and your gr grandmother had the same parents to me  :)

thank you for that, the only thing I dont understand from that tree, would be my Maria Valerie Lippens birth Registered at Eeklo on 16th June 1877 by

Karel Francies Lippens, aged 37, born in Oostwinkel and living in Eeklo,

Declared the birth of a child, a female, born at home yesterday at 12 at night,

Born to him and his wife, Rosalie D'hooge, aged 35, born and living in Eeklo,

To whom they have given the name Maria Valerie.
But on the tree that you showed they had another daughter Marie Louise Lippens born 1887? surley they would not have 2 girls named the same?

Hi, I wonder if someone could help me look up a birth of Charles Baptise Lippens. Born 4 July 1880/1
in Eekloo. On his papers in the US it states his parents as Francis Lippens & Rosalee Doohe.
The reason I am interested in him is that  my G Grandmother was born 12 Feb 1876 in Eeklo, daughter of Karel Francis Lippens & Rosalie D'hooge. It just seems a coincidence of names of parents & could be a sibling of her?.
Many thanks if you can help

If you have a Whittenbury in a direct line, I may be able to help. For years, I have been collecting anything on the name. I also have a few unrelated trees that I have created (not cloned)  >:(  to help others find their line.
Leave a comment on here in case I don't see a message ;)

Yes I try to look at as many wills as I can but more so those dated after James birth (1778). Some I have looked at I struggle so much to even make out words that I do know, just looking for the name James :(
Over the years I spent loads of time in record offices etc searching Apprenticeship records & the like.
On my tree I do add unrelated families especially those around London in the 1850, some I have managed to go back a lot further, but quite a few I draw a blank 1760 - 1800  :(
PS, I only add those that I can verify as fact before I add them.
I am also helping someone from Australia with his Whittenbury line, It has a lot of connections to my lines as in living very close at the same time & like my John his line ends in Edmonton around the same time (his name is Thomas W)  Now online there are loads who have this family in their trees and gone further back to Datchworth,Tewin Hertford etc some have different bapt dates, different parents etc and you can tell most are just blanket copies  ??? ( I am not asking about Thomas on this thread lol).

Hi Lizzie, Thank you for all that lot, no I hadn't seen that will before, because it was written before James (1788) was born.
It certainly shows how the Hertford & London W* link up. I do like the Hertford connections. that's why I am just trying to find something that will mention my James :( He also was a Carpenter & master builder. John was a Miller & William a baker & later a Flour factor.

Hi Lizzie, When john died in 1813 the doctor in attendance said he was 50 years old. I did find his burial years ago when I was searching at the London record office, buried all saints poplar, I cant find the notes I made for his age on that now though :( (at the time I had not connected him to James, just liked the coincidence of it being the same church as James buried)
Where James & William who stated they were his brothers as executors on his Will, James Signed as living in Deptford & William signed living in Well Street. Williams eldest daughter Alice born Whitechapel St Mary, abode said Well Street) All Williams dates come from Census, BUT on his death in 1866 gives his death as 1789. Which does make more sense, but that is filled in by someone who knew him I presume.
:)

Hi Lady Di
Thanks for taking the trouble & sorry for the confusion, I don't have FindMyPast only Ancestry at the moment, they have nothing on Ware.
I am looking for 3 brothers that I know are defiantly brothers from Johns will.
I have been looking for these for well over 30 years & I don't think anything will come up in basic searches.
If I start with the Eldest of the 3
John Born approx 1763, the earliest mention of him is; his son & Daughter Henry & Sara Bapt in Edmonton 1804. The next record is 1813 where he dies in Millwall Poplar. He was a Miller by trade. age 50

James Whittenbury born approx 1778, 1st mention is marriage 1812 Deptford Kent, 1841 census says not b in Kent. 1851 census says born in London. Died 1856.

William,  born approx 1793, 1st mention in (John Will) 1813 living Well St Well cross (I Presume Clacton) also 1813 he gets Married in Limehouse (Poplar) all the census for him say born Hertford. He had a lot of children but one John William (Although bapt in Whitechapel) gave all his parents names etc on his emigration to Australia said he was born in Wareside?
Now William is on a lot of peoples trees from Datchworth (I do not trust the trees, because they are mostly the same, but some have different parents' etc)
not only that but John & James are not there!
Sorry its a bit long-winded but as I said been stuck on my James well over 30 years now & it parts of this story is on here from ages ago, but every now & again I get this bit in me to find his parents.
So the main reason was looking at Ware is it is another place I have not searched & if it has never been online I could go & do it the old way, like I did when I was young  ;D
If you have read until here? Thank you for listening/reading my frustration :p
I love this site, so many people just want it done the right way :)
PS a lot of this is covered in older roots chat topics, it's just that every now & again a snippet (that's all I want :) ) that will give me another clue I can go and search.
