Somerset / Elizabeth BISS born Frome ca 1781
« on: Wednesday 26 July 17 15:22 BST (UK)  »
Elizabeth BISS married Thomas Witcomb in Frome in 1802, both described as OTP
The 1851 census has her place of birth as Frome (then living with her youngest son in Stepney) and gives a year of birth of 1781.

However, neither Freereg nor FreeBMD provide any plausible baptisms. Does anyone have a BISS family in the Frome area to whom she might be connected?

Norfolk / Henry SISSEN (or SISSON) 1710-1792
« on: Monday 11 April 16 11:41 BST (UK)  »
did this Henry marry both
Sarah Sparke (1707-1751) on 24 Nov 1734
and Lydia Locksmith (1725-1812) on 30 September 1751?

Henry's burial entry describes him as a married man.

Any suggestions as to where he originated?

John BAILEY from Aylesbury married Rebecca from Cuddington ca. 1820-1821, presumably in Cuddington where their daughters were born. (Eldest I know of was born ca 1822).

Can someone locate the marriage please.

Buckinghamshire Lookup Requests / MORECRAFT -Winslow 1740s
« on: Tuesday 22 March 16 08:22 GMT (UK)  »
The MORECRAFT family were butchers in Winslow for many years

I have Thomas MORECRAFT and Ann with 6 children baptised there between 1744 and 1751

But William MORECRAFT (1744-1817) butcher of Winslow and later Towersey who married at Winslow in 1765 is not one of these baptisms. Did Thomas & Ann have children elsewhere or have I missed William's baptism?

Buckinghamshire Lookup Requests / MORECRAFT- Wycombe
« on: Friday 06 November 15 17:21 GMT (UK)  »
I'm trying to tidy up some loose ends with the MORECRAFTs of Wycombe, almost all of whom were butchers

1. George David MORECRAFT born 1820/1821, who were his parents- he was a butcher in Wycombe in every census

2. John MORECRAFT buried age 4 on 24 Nov 1819. Was he a brother of George?

3 I have details of two burials in 1810, of John son of William & Mary, and then of William MORECRAFT

Has anyone any other information on this family? I can see no possible marriage in Bucks.

Trying to find the parents of Charles (1807), James (1808) Robert (1815), Julia (1816) MOORCRAFT. all born Penn. Julia married John King in 1842

Also did James MOORCRAFT (born ca 1811) marry Rachel ca 1835? They were together in 1841 and 1851.

And does anyone known anything about Thomas   MOORCRAFT buried 1822 age 87 or Elizabeth buried 1836 age 88?
