This is one of two images retrieved from a strip of colour negative film.  They have both been very badly damaged by water and grit.  I wonder,  can the present image be improved at all?

I am trying to establish the death of Margaret A. Crosbie b.1815 Girthon KDBT.
The last census she appears on is the 1891 England.  Margaret is 80 widowed and living with her daughter in Liverpool.  She does not appear on the 1901 England census.

I wonder if she returned to her native Scotland.  There is a Margaret Crosbie born abt 1810 Scotland who appears on the 1901 Scotland census living in Roxburghshire.  Is it possible that someone could check this entry out to see if it may be the Margaret i am after. Her husband was David Crosbie b. 1818 Dunscore, d. 1886 liverpool.

I wonder if anyone has any information or photographs of 'Oullcottis', which i think was a house and or estate,  owned by the Crosbie family in 1415. 

I am reliably informed that Oulcottis was in Hoddam parish near Orchard farm  OS Map 85 191 764 but nothing remains of it now.  However,  i have heard ( maybe unreliably) that there is an exterior wall still remaining, that bears a coat of arms with inscription.

trying to establish the date of death for margaret CROSBIE nee kelly.  would someone please check the 1901 census for liverpool.
margaret was born 1815 girthon scotland,  married to david crosbie who died liverpool 1886.

margaret is last mentioned on the 1891 census living at 4 fonthill rd. kirkdale liverpool.

Dumfriesshire / John Crosbie of Kipp

 I have a Robert Crosbie b.1746  who purchased Kipp in 1778.    I also have a number of ancestors who are listed as e.g John Crosbie of Kipp.  William Crosbie b. 1780 who sold his share of kipp.

My question is what is Kipp?  Does it refer to the village of Kippford, to a specific area of land in that area or perhaps,  to a house and estate.  any ideas welcome.

i am researching a palmer family from this area.  peter m. palmer,  b. 10th.  aug. 1799.  spouse mary hubbard, marriage 11th. may 1819.  with their son james palmer they emigrated to the u.s. in possibly 1830 ish.

Anne was b. circa 1833 Denbighshire.  William possibly around the same time or a little earlier also in Denbighshire.
