Arranroots,

initally yes, i thought the anne roberts in oxton must be my anne,  although the age and birth place are wrong.  i thought it possible that her details had been mixed up with mary sanders, the other servant.  if the details were swopped anne would then be the correct age and b. holywell.

but then i checked on the lds and found that there was a mary sanders b. holywell? so now i'm not too sure.

which areas are the other anne roberts working in?

it would appear that the other bostocks you list, are definately not connected. so that rules out those earlier thoughts, thank you.

Arranroot,

sorry, its all a bit long winded and i make it sound complicated.

would it be possible to check if there are any other anne roberts, working in the flintshire area in 1871.

the information i have on anne is, anne roberts, b. whitford 1852. f. james roberts farmer, b. 1828 whitford. mother, mariah parry, b.1832, ysceifog, n. wales.

thanks for your patience

hi Arranroots,

yes thats the man.  in the 1881 census he appears at

Source Information:

 Dwelling  Plas Euryn

Census PlaceLlandrillo Yn Rhos - Dinerth, (probably dyserth) Denbigh, Wales

 Family History Library Film  1342340

 Public Records Office Reference  RG11

 Piece / Folio  5582 / 51

 Page Number  8

my interest is with the servant, anne roberts, that is listed in his williams household.

the anne roberts i am looking for was b. 1852 whitford.  she is in whitford on the 1861 census.  she got married in greenfields in 1873.  but where was she in the interim?

when i saw on the 1881 that william bostock was then living at dyserth.  i wondered if in fact he also had that property in say the years either side of 1871.  so it would have been possible for anne to have worked at his house in dyserth and also in oxton.

so, i wondered if perhaps a member of his family may have been listed on the 1871 census at the house in dyserth?

hope you can follow all that.

thank you,
regards purlin

researching whereabouts of anne roberts, b. 1852 whitford, flintshire.

i feel she may have been working as a servant within the HANLEY potteries area during that period.

thank you,
purlin
